"A gigantic log slowly slides through the dirt, carving everything in its path. Thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds cling to chains that were hammered into the log, serving as crude and simple handles. They strain against the chains with all their strength, moving ever forward, driven by faith or by fear. A man with old hands lets go of his chains and steps aside, out of the way of the others. He rests for a moment, watching the endless line of pushers move past him, unnoticed by them. He turns and walks along the trench, observing the path he has carved with his life. He reaches the end of the trench, where a new society grows. He takes his place among those who also finished their infinite push. The chains he left are still swinging, empty. Until two tiny hands grip them tight."

This is a work-in-progress exploration of new AI tools. All the images were made using text-to-image generation by Bing Image Creator (which uses DALLE 2) and then the images were turned into perspective warped videos using LeiaPix Converter. I wrote the accompanying short story above over 2 years ago, although I edited it slightly using Bing Chat text-to-text generation. The final video and audio was made in Premiere Pro.
